Summer Sports Wrap

Women’s Lacrosse’s Abby Laubach ’24 was chosen to participate in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Senior All-Star game at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters back in June. The IWLCA also named Laubach and McKenna Seashole ’25 to their All-Metro Region Second Team earlier in the month. The whole team was also awarded the IWLCA Academic Team Award for their work in the classroom last spring. They welcomed new Assistant Coach Gillian Hanson to their staff in August.

Baseball had two athletes named to both the D3 Baseball and American Baseball Coaches Association All-Region Lists. Drew Kinsey ’26 and Logan Yi ’24 were both awarded first and second team honors by the respective groups. The baseball team was awarded the Team Academic Award for their academic excellence in the spring as well.

Women’s Rowing had quite the eventful summer with Jordan Hyde ’25 and Makaela Oehler ’24 named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District for their academic endeavors.

Men’s Rowing celebrated two of their athletes being named to the All-MARC Conference Team, Garrett Cole ’24 and Sam Abromavage ’27.

Volleyball was awarded the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for their success in the classroom for the year. They also welcomed new Head Coach Charlie Ginex at the beginning of August!

Sailing had two athletes, Laurel Krause ’24 and Kennedy Jones ’24, named to the Inter-collegiate Sailing Association (CSA) Sailing All-Academic Team.

Men’s Tennis named six athletes to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete Team—Ryohei Kawai ’24, Johannes Ludwigstorff ’25, Aaradith Ravichandranm ’25, Kohl Perkins ’26, Tichi Chialva ’27, and Jorge Urgal Zuleta ’27.
This award is given to athletes with a 3.5 or better GPA. 

Women’s Tennis also had three athletes named to the
ITA Scholar-Athlete Team for academic success—María Cristina Diaz Nazario ’24, Piper Sartison ’24, and Isabella Sorhegui ’26
