From the Editor

Dear Readers,

Washington College Magazine is going from three issues a year to four—two digital and two print versions (the print issues will also be available online). This enables us to cover a broader range of the College’s news and stories, providing our readers with more timely and in-depth coverage of all things Washington. As part of this new publication schedule, we have also created mag.washcoll.edu, where you can always find the latest issue and archived copies of issues since the magazine relaunched in 2023.

I hope you enjoy the first digital-only issue. In it, read about alumni musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs. Learn how Washington prepares students to succeed in the medical professions and meet students who have been awarded scholarships to pursue careers in accounting and archaeology. Read the latest Washington Insider about why undercutting and attacking the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is misguided, written by Valerie Imbruce, director of the Center for Environment and Society. And find out what has been happening in sports and around campus.

As always, we would love to hear your thoughts on the magazine.

Yours sincerely,
Darrach Dolan, Managing Editor
