Field Hockey ended its season on the cusp of making the Centennial Conference playoffs. It finished the year 10-8 overall and even in conference play at 5-5. The highlight of the Shorewomen’s season was taking down #16 ranked Shenandoah, 2-1, in overtime off of a golden goal by Kat Esposito ’25 and a win at #24 Swarthmore, 4-3. Esposito led the Shorewomen in goals with 15 and assists with 33. She was the third field hockey player in Washington College history to earn 100 career points and was named a Second Team All-Region athlete by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Esposito and MaryCate Anson ’26 were both named All-Conference selections. Esposito earned the title of Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the First Team, while Anson was placed on the Honorable Mention Squad.

Volleyball served its first season under Head Coach Charlie Ginex. The team finished 12-12, earning the most wins since 2016. The Shorewomen held a seven-game win streak in the middle of their season, beating seven non-conference teams. The team was led by Giselle Kleinbussink ’26, who earned 230.5 points on the season. Lindsay Saddic ’25 led the team in kills with 207, and Allison McKechnie ’26 led the team in assists with 339. Alexis Stubbs ’28 put in the work on the service front, dishing up a team high of 44 aces on the season. Mary Miller ’27, a defensive specialist, was selected as an Honorable Mention All-Conference athlete.

Women’s Soccer ended the season with the most tied contests in a season for the Shorewomen. It ended the year with a record of 7-4-7. The Shorewomen were led by Kaileigh Brady ’27, who earned 11 points on the season and led the team in goals with five. She was followed by Gina Phillips ’27, who contributed four goals, and Sophie Kilbride ’27, who netted three. Goalkeeper Olivia Allen ’27 had a record-breaking season with 10 shutouts and 13 career clean sheets, the most in both categories in program history. Allen earned her way on the All-Conference Second Team, while Brady, Killbride, and Grace Morris ’27 each secured a spot on the Honorable Mention List.

Men’s Soccer’s season concluded in the first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs, earning postseason contests for the fourth straight year. The Shoremen finished their season with a record of 8-5-6 and a conference record of 4-3-2. They won against two ranked opponents, #19 ranked Swarthmore, 3-2, and #19 ranked Rowan, 1-0. The Shoremen were led by Tshazi Kamau ’27, who recorded 26 points on the season off four goals and six assists; he led the team in both categories. Cole White ’25 was in goal for most of the season and recorded 54 saves and seven shutouts. Kamau received First Team All-Centennial Honors. White earned a spot on the second team. Tyler Davidson ’27 and Ryan Sharpley ’27 both earned spots on the Honorable Mention list.
