Spring Migration 2026
Thank you to all who returned to Washington College April 17 and 18. Your presence helped make Spring Migration 2026 a memorable weekend!
A highlight of the weekend was the 50th Reunion of the Class of 1976, whose members reconnected everywhere from the Friday welcome barbecue to brunch in the Golden Goose Pub and an intimate gathering at Watershed Alley in downtown Chestertown.
The spirit of lifelong connection was also evident at the OWLs (Older and Wiser Alumni) Reception on Friday evening, where alumni spanning decades gathered to celebrate their enduring relationship with the College.
On Friday, the Ninth Annual Ed Athey Golf Tournament once again brought together alumni and friends for a day of competition and connection.
Later that evening, the Hodson Boathouse provided a stunning waterfront setting for the Spring Migration River Party, featuring live music, food trucks, and s’mores.
Athletics played a central role throughout the weekend, as alumni returned to the fields and courts for field hockey, women’s soccer, volleyball, and men’s soccer.
On Saturday, Military Appreciation Day during the men’s lacrosse game against Gettysburg offered a meaningful opportunity to recognize and honor members of the Washington College community who have served or are currently serving. Major Robert “Bruce” Jaeger ’66, P’96, was the featured honoree, and a large American flag was unfurled during halftime.
